'아시아의 전시' 국제 심포지엄 <현대미술기관과 창조적 실천에서의 아카이브 열병>

본 프로그램은 두 개의 세션으로 나뉘어 진행 됩니다. 세션 1에서는 작가, 학자, 아키비스트, 큐레이터 등 다양한 사람들을 초청하여, 급발전한 매체의 시대에 아카이브가 가진 다양한 가능성을 알아보고자 합니다. 특히 지리적, 물리적 경계를 초월하는 아카이브의 속성과 복잡한 방법론에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 개진할 것입니다. 그리고 세션 2에서는 아시아 8개 국가의 근현대 미술전시사 아카이브를 수집한 <아시아의 전시> 프로젝트의 내용과 결과를 공유함으로써 2차 세계대전 이후 급변해온 아시아의 사회정치적 환경과 문화적 지형을 탐색합니다. 'Exhibition Histories in Asia' Symposium <Archive Fever in Contemporary Art Institutions and Creative Practices>

▶time: 2015.12.11(Fri) 10am – 5pm

This program is divided into two sessions. In the first session, artists, scholars, archivists and curators will all be invited to determine the multiple possibilities of archive in the era of dramatically developing media. In particular, there will be an in-depth discussion on the complicated methodology for handling a complicated archive that transcends both geological and physical borders. In the second session, by sharing the results of the Exhibition Histories in Asia that has collected modern and contemporary art history archives in eight Asian countries, this program attempts to explore the political environment and cultural topography of Asian society that has gone through drastic changes since the Second World War.
